Admission

The student passing the Madhyamik Pariksha of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or an equivalent examination (Class X stage) recognized by W.B.C.H.S.E. are eligible for admission to the above course of studies. Admission will be made strictly in order of merit.
 

Admission Procedure :

The students seeking admission should apply to the Headmaster within the scheduled date in a prescribed form to be had from the school office on working days during the school hours on payment of Rs. 25/- (Rupees twenty five only). The printed application forms along with the prospectus will be issued to the prospective students as the result of the Madhyamik Pariksha will be out. The application forms duly filled in and the necessary documents will be received at the school office by the time fixed by the office.

 

Submission of forms :

The application forms duly filled in should be submitted along with the following documents:


a) The duly attested marks of the last qualifying examination   should be written in the application form by the last attended Institution.

b) the Admit Card (attested copy) bearing the date of birth of the student concerned.

c) A certificate from the Headmaster of the school where the student studied last.

 

 

Course of Study :

Subjects offered by the school are as follows:


Section I Language Group :
Two Languages must have to be offered by all the pupils.
a) First Language - Bengali / Hindi - Two papers
Marks allotted : 1 x 100= 100
b) Second Language - English
Marks allotted : 1 x 100= 100


Section II Elective :
One can choose three Elective Subjects and one Addl. Subject either from:
GROUP - A
i) Physics (ii) Chemistry (iii) Biology (iv) Statistics (v) Mathematics
OR
GROUP - B
i) Economics (ii) Pol. Sc. (iii) Biology / BEBM (IV) History (v) Mathematics (vi) Philosophy
(vii) Geography / Eco.G (viii) Sanskrit

GROUP - C
i) Economic Geography (ii) Geography / Statistics (iii) Accountancy (iv) Business Economics,
including Business Mathematics (BEMB) (v) Economics / Biology (vi) Business organization & Management (BOM)
(vii) Mathematics
Total Marks - XI 500 marks & XII 500 Marks.


Section - III Activity Section :
Physical Education though non examinable, participation in physical Education of each student is
compulsory ( participation in Physical Education though non-examinable compulsory for each student)

Section - IV:
Optional Elective Sector ( Ordinary level)
A pupil may take up a fourth subjects as an optional one4 than the combination of elective subject as
listed in the elective section in sector II.1 X 1 X 100=100


Fees etc :
The student selected for admission to any one of the courses shall have to pay all the fees as prescribed by the West Bengal Council of H.S. Education at the time of admission or within the stipulated period failing which their claims for admission will be forfeited. The fees etc. once deposited, can not be refunded, The fees admissible under the rules framed by the Council of Higher Secondary Education are as follows.
